Left Up To Me is a song about what my lady wouldn’t have to worry about if she left loving her up to me.
Lindsey LeCoda was born on May 1,1985 in Washington, DC to a mother that was a pianist and vocalist plus a career military father who also happened to be a vocalist. At the tender age of 2, LeCoda showed signs if being musically gifted as a percussionist and was given his first drum set from his parents. As the years rolled by, his mother taught LeCoda and his younger sister how to sing in harmony.
As he continued to grow LeCoda also was involved in many things in regards to fine arts. In 1992 moving to Fairbanks Alaska, (father got stationed there) he took up dance for 8 years specifically tap dancing, got involved with musical theater all while continuing to perfect his percussive skills. At age 9, LeCoda decided he wanted to add an instrument to his skill set, so he got in the school concert band and took up Trumpet.
In 1999, LeCoda's father retired from the army and decided to move down to Atlanta, Georgia. Still receiving formal percussive training...LeCoda was on his high school drum line, landed a part in the hit movie "Drumline" as (Quad Drummer #2 for the Atlanta A&T band), learned how to play piano, and picked up Bass Guitar.
In 2003, LeCoda graduated from Lakeside high school and went on to pursue a degree in music.
Enrolling at the HBCU Albany State University, LeCoda majored in Instrumental music performance with a concentration in percussive arts, and a minor in voice performance. During this time in college LeCoda developed a love for songwriting and composing. Given that he liked to write poetry in his spare time, songwriting came fairly easy to him. LeCoda graduated from ASU in 2007. Since then, he has gone on to play drums professionally, (on stage and studio) write /compose many songs for independent artists, large amount of studio work (referencing songs, writing, vocal arranging, composing, and collaborating) as well as completing personal projects for himself.
LeCoda is currently working on a new project to be released by fall 2016.
