What is home to you? Automatically most will remember the place they lived with their Mom, Dad, and siblings. The true "home" will always be this image in our minds of when we were kids. All places you live after this point in your life will simply be houses or residences for periods of time. It only becomes a home again when you have kids of your own to share it with. Until then, we are lost in a limbo of longing for that memory of our "home." That's why it isn't really a place or even a family necessarily that makes it a home. It is a mindset that is created by love. Truly selfless and uncompromising love, that is what makes a true home. If we have the chance of experiencing that, we will always have it with us. Home is truly where the heart is and it will always be there.
Georgia native BJ Wilbanks creates blues-infused rock music reminiscent of a bygone era, combining deeply-rooted Delta blues, funk, soul, and acoustic Southern rock to create a sound that is familiar, yet uniquely his own. BJ has developed his own sub-genre of Americana which he refers to as "back porch soul." His tales of heartache, love, and life combine artfully with an engaging live performance.
